Is HBO Available On Cue Streaming?

HBO is a hugely popular pay television network that has been the home of lots of alternative and more “edgy” programming (especially comedy), and it’s a nice additional to have on any cable/TV service. But what about the newcomer Cue Streaming service? Do they also have the HBO channels included?

It’d be a feather in their cap if they did, and thankfully, people people interested in switching over to them, it’s good news.

All the HBO channels (excluding HBO Max) are included in Cue Streaming at no extra cost:

  • HBO (East)
  • HBO (West)
  • HBO Comedy (East)
  • HBO Comedy (West)
  • HBO Family (East)
  • HBO Family (West)
  • HBO Latino (East)
  • HBO Latino (West)
  • HBO Signature (East)
  • HBO Signature (West)
  • HBO Zone (East)
  • HBO Zone (West)

Here’s what shows up when you currently do a channel search in their TV guide interface for HBO:

In other words, if you’re a HBO fan, you’re covered if you switch over to Cue Streaming. All the main HBO TV channels are there.

Is HBO Max Available On Cue Streaming?

Whilst all the standard HBO channels are on there, HBO Max is a separate subscription-only channel, and therefore it is not currently available on Cue streaming.

You have to pay a separate monthly subscription to HBO directly to get their HBO Max service (same with Netflix, Paramount+, Amazon Video etc, which also aren’t included with Cue Streaming).

But all the standard HBO channels are included at no extra cost.

What Other Channels Are Available On Cue Streaming?

Besides HBO, Cue Streaming has a massive overall selection of channels and content that should pretty much match what you already get from your current provider.

Here’s a quick snapshot of some popular US channels that are included:

But the total catalogue runs to several thousand channels, in all major categories:

Therefore as a general rule, any channel you’re used to watching right now is highly likely to also be available on Cue Streaming.

If you want to double check and make sure, see their guide that allows you to search for a channel within Cue Streaming’s catalogue (you can do this on their website without needing to sign up).

Getting Started With Cue Streaming

If you’re liking the fact that HBO is on Cue Streaming, plus their great channel selection overall, then switching over to them is usually pretty easy.

Here are the general steps:

  1. If you want to watch through a TV, you’ll need a Firestick for each TV used, if you don’t already have one. They’re available cheap on Amazon. Otherwise, you just need an internet connection to get started.
  2. Go to the Cue Streaming website
  3. Click Sign Up and fill in your details
  4. Pay your subscription ($59.99/month, 5 devices per account, no contract, no set up fees, cancel anytime).
  5. Run through some easy initial setup depending on your device (TV setup takes a few more steps but isn’t hard).
  6. You’re good to go, watching most or all of the channels you currently watch, including all the standard HBO channels.
