Cue Streaming are gradually becoming more and more talked about as a newcomer in the TV/streaming space, but who exactly are they? What do they offer? How does their service work? How do they compare to competitors in the streaming space? How do you get started with them?

We’re going to answer all these questions, and more in this article, hopefully giving a decent overview to people who’ve just heard about Cue Streaming, and want to find out what they’re all about.

Who Are Cue Streaming?

Cue Streaming are a Christian based internet TV/streaming/on demand service that offer much the same service as most other cable/TV providers in terms of all the channels you’d expect, for a much better price than their competitors.

Regarding how Cue Streaming got their name, the letters CUE are actually an acronym for “Communication Unites Everyone“, which hopefully gives readers a picture of what they goal or “missions statement” is.

They offer a wide range of television, movie, on demand and PPV content all in one service, accessible on all major devices. In other words, they’re competing with your current cable/TV provider as well as other streaming services like Amazon Prime Video and Hulu in offering you a bunch of TV/movie content in one place.

How Much Does Cue Streaming Cost?

We put this near the top because it’s something people want to know bottom line quickly – how much does it cost? The answer might surprise you compared to what you’re paying now for your current provider if you’re based in the US.

Cue Streaming currently costs $59.99 per month, and each subscription provides access for up to 5 devices at any time.

In addition:

• There are not setup or installation fees
• There are no other costs other than needing a Firestick to watch on TVs (see below).
• There is no contract and you can cancel anytime.
• There is also a referral program whereby if someone else signs up through your unique link, you get $6 recurring every month, plus second tier referrals (people that sign up off those people) get you $4 per month recurring (in other words, you keep collecting these credits as long as these people stay with the service). Therefore, with a few sign-ups from friends/family, you can effectively pay for the service with these referral credits and get it for free.

If you want access for more than 5 devices, you will have to pay for an additional subscription, so in this case you’d pay $119.98 for access for 10 devices simultaneously.

In other words, their pricing is very competitive compared to a lot of current US cable packages, where you can be paying a couple of hundred dollars a month to get everything you want.

What Channels Do They Offer?

The lower price is all very well, but does that mean Cue Streaming don’t offer as much channel selection? Well, not really – their channel selection is already surprisingly good despite being a relatively new service.

Cue Streaming currently offer around 4000 US based channels to subscribers, including, but not limited to:

• Entertainment channels
• Movies channels like Cinemax and Hallmark.
• TV series on demand
• All major sports channels like ESPN, Fox Sports, NBC Sports, Golf Channel, beIN sports and more.
• Kids channels
• Documentary channels like Discovery, History Channel, Nat Geo and more
• Music channels like MTV and more.
• All the Disney channels.
• Comedy channels like Comedy Central
• HBO
• USA Network and other major networks.
• All major US news channels
• Local news channels
• PPV channels (at no extra cost in many cases)

As a general rule of thumb, pretty much any channel you’re used to watching right now with your current provider will most likely also be available on Cue Streaming.

Notably though, one type of channel they DON’T offer are explicit adult channels. This is to be expected as they are a Christian company, but pretty much everything else is available.

Is On Demand Content Also Offered?

Yes, Cue Streaming also offer on demand TV content as all other streaming/TV/cable packages would, so it’s not just limited to live TV channels being broadcast right now.

How Does Their Service Work? (Plus Supported Devices)

OK, so now we’ve actually covered the basics of what’s offered by Cue Streaming and for how much, how does it actually work when you sign up for them? Is it easy or complicated to get started with them?

It’s actually quite easy. Firstly, Cue Streaming is available on almost all major devices:

• TV – but does need a Firestick attached and some initial setup.

But with all other devices, it’s much simpler:

• Laptops
• PCs
• Mac
• Netbooks
• Chromebooks
• Tablet
• Most iPhones
• Other phones

With these devices, it’s a Webplayer version, so you just download an app to your device (you’re given instructions by email once you sign up), and then you’re literally good to go watching Cue Streaming as long as you’re connected to the internet.

One device type that Cue Streaming NOT currently available on is games consoles. This may change but there’s no app for them at the time of writing.

It’s the TV setup that’s a little more in depth, but we created a step by step, illustrated guide on how to install the latest app version in late 2023, to make it easier. It’s not too hard and just requires some initial configuration to configure your Firestick to receive the service.

Do You Need Internet To Use Cue Streaming?

This is another common source of confusion as the service is so new. Some people are asking whether Cue Streaming can in effect “replace” your current internet, and whether it includes internet in the subscription. Unfortunately, not for the moment.

An internet connection from a provider is also required to access Cue Streaming. If you are not connected to the internet via a modem/router installed by an ISP, you will not be able to access Cue Streaming on any device.

Therefore, Cue Streaming does not replace your existing internet service, but works with and alongside it, and for now at least, still depends on it.

Do You Need Anything Else To Use Cue Streaming?

Setup and access does seem so simple for a lot of device that a lot of people must wonder whether there’s anything else you need. When we normally sign up for cable/TV services, we’re used to being sent boxes of equipment that we need to plug in and configure, or pay for a technician to come round and set it all up.

The good news is that you really don’t need to do any of this with Cue Streaming. There’s no additional equipment sent to you through the post, nor any need for anyone to come round and set it up.

For most devices other than a TV, you just need:

• A subscription
• An internet service
• A compatible device with the Cue Streaming App installed

and you’re good to go.

Specifically for using with TVs, there is one additional thing you need if you don’t already have one – a compatible Firestick:

• Firestick 4K Max
• Firestick Lite

This is a small additional cost just to use on TVs, and you do need one Firestick per TV used with the service. So if you want to watch on 3 TVs, you will need 3 Firesticks. These are one time, inexpensive purchases of around $20-40 (you DON’T need Firesticks to use with other devices – only TVs)

The TV is really the only one where you need something extra, and a bit more setup. Lots of regular TV users will also already have Firesticks anyway and won’t need to purchase them.

With all other devices (desktop/mobile/tablet/netbook/Android), you’re using the Webplayer app that you download after signup, and that’s it – you’re ready to go with an internet connection. No Firestick needed to watch on these devices.

Are There Any Catches?

Honestly, it’s difficult to find anything wrong with Cue Streaming when you compare it to a lot of other services/packages.

The $59.99 monthly cost is literally around one-third to one-quarter the cost of some cable packages or “bundles” people are paying for, and offers pretty much the same channel selection. Why would you pay three or four times more than you need to to watch the TV you want?

Plus you’re not paying hundreds more for routers or other expensive setup/installation/activation, and you’re not even tied into any contract either that you’d have to either wait out, or pay a fortune to exit.

One possible catch however could be the difficulty of switching over if you’re already on some “bundle” package where your internet, TV and phone are all packaged as one and can’t be separated or downgraded.

You still require an internet service and modem/router to access Cue Streaming, but you might not be able to cancel your current TV without also cancelling the internet that’s bundled in with it, and then you’re stuck in a bit of catch 22 as you’d have to pay to get new internet installed. You’d have to speak with your current provider to see what you can do about this.

Overall though, there’s a lot of people who could save a lot of money on their TV and streaming costs by switching over, if not right away then certainly long term. In an era of constant inflation, that’s to be appreciated.

Let’s cover a bunch of what we’ve already said, plus some more common questions people ask who are thinking of switching over to Cue Streaming.

Q. Can Cue Streaming replace my current cable/TV/satellite?
A. Yes, Cue Streaming should have most or all the channels you currently watch (live TV, sports, movies, documentary, local and national news, etc) often for a much better monthly price. Check their selection before signing up. The only sticking point is if your internet is also bundled in with your TV/cable and can’t be separated, since you still need internet to access it.

Q. Does Cue Streaming have on demand content?
A. Yes, Cue Streaming also has a large library of on demand shows and movies you can watch. You’re not just restricted to live TV.

Q. Can I check what channels they have?

Q. Can Cue Streaming replace my current internet?
A. No, not yet. Cue Streaming still requires an internet connection wired in through a modem/router. So you’ll still need your current ISP supplied internet to access it as long as we’re using the “current” internet.

If anyone signs up using your link, you get $6 recurring credit for each month they stay with the service. A. Yes, referral credits/commissions can be used to pay for the subscription, so you’re paying less or nothing at all each month once you get some sign ups. You can also choose to be paid commissions by transfer.

Q. Am I locked in with Cue Streaming once I join?
A. No, there’s no contract, no minimum term, you just pay $59.99 each month you want to use the service, and cancel if you ever want to leave. No joining/exit fees. You’re not tied in or restricted in any way.

How To Get Started With Cue Streaming

If you’re sold on Cue Streaming, and there’s really nothing stopping you switching over, then getting set up with them is usually very easy.
